Guide
How it works
1. Upload your image
Drag and drop a PNG, JPG or WebP, or click to browse. The file stays in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.
2. Choose how to split
Pick carousel slides (2–10 vertical panels) or a grid (rows × columns). The live preview shows exactly where the cuts land.
3. Download your slices
Split and grab a ZIP of every slice as a PNG, or download individual pieces from the thumbnail grid.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
How do I split an image for an Instagram carousel?
Upload your image, choose the “Carousel slides” mode, pick how many slides you want (2–10), and click “Split & download ZIP”. The tool cuts the image into equal vertical panels that line up seamlessly when swiped through as a carousel, then bundles every slide into a single ZIP you can post.
What size should each slide be?
Instagram carousels look best at a 4:5 portrait ratio (1080 × 1350 px per slide) or square 1:1 (1080 × 1080 px). Start with a source image whose width equals your desired slide width multiplied by the number of slides. For example, five 1080 px slides means a 5400 px wide image. The splitter keeps each slice’s pixels exact so there’s no blur or overlap.
Is this free, and does it upload my image?
It is completely free and 100% client-side. Your image never leaves your device. There is no server, no account, and no network upload. All splitting happens in your browser with the Canvas API, and the ZIP is generated locally before it downloads.
What’s the difference between carousel and grid mode?
Carousel mode splits the image into equal vertical panels you swipe through as one continuous scene. Grid mode splits the image into a rows × columns layout (3 columns by default), perfect for a seamless Instagram profile-grid mural where multiple posts form one big picture.
