FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What size should an Instagram carousel be?
Instagram carousels look best in 4:5 portrait at 1080 × 1350 px. That is the recommended default because it takes up the most screen space in the feed. You can also use 1:1 square (1080 × 1080 px), the new-for-2026 3:4 tall crop (1080 × 1440 px), or 1.91:1 landscape (1080 × 566 px). A carousel holds 2–20 slides, each file should stay under 30 MB, and every slide must share one aspect ratio so nothing gets cropped.
What is the best LinkedIn carousel size?
For LinkedIn image posts, 1:1 square at 1080 × 1080 px is the recommended size and reads cleanly on both desktop and mobile. 4:5 portrait (1080 × 1350 px) and 16:9 landscape (1920 × 1080 px) are also supported, with a 10 MB limit per image. For a native PDF carousel, export a PDF up to 100 MB and 300 pages. Aim for 5–15 slides (the sweet spot is 8–15) at 150–300 DPI so the text stays sharp.
Does my image get uploaded?
No. The checker is 100% client-side. Your image never leaves your device. There is no server, no account and no network upload. The tool reads the natural width and height in your browser using an in-memory image, computes the aspect ratio locally, and the object URL is revoked as soon as you replace the file or leave the page.
What aspect ratio should all slides use?
Pick one aspect ratio and use it for every slide in the carousel. Mixing ratios makes the platform crop your images unpredictably and breaks the seamless swipe. Choose your platform's recommended ratio (4:5 for Instagram, 1:1 for LinkedIn), export every slide at that exact size, and drop one into the checker to confirm it matches before you post.
